Here are some pictures from
XII Raid de Inverno (12th Winter Raid),
by the Jeep Clube do Brasil (I'm member), on July 14th.
The Raid was in Campos do Jordão, 183km from São Paulo.
It is a "winter point", with lots of events, shows, fondues(?!), business,
Jeeps,
ATVs, bikes,
Porsches,
Mercedes,
Jaguars,
[and certain other attractions] - a beautiful place!
Note 2 special vehicles:
1. Envemo Camper: Envemo was an
Engesa
dealer and a special vehicles/ bodies specialist (fire, police, and others).
In the 1990's (early), Envemo built your 4x4 - Camper.
The Camper had a fiberglass body ("shaped" from a 2-door Cherokee),
Engesa 4 chassis (yes, the same of the EE4/FII) and
several options of powetrain (GM 151 or 250, Perkins Diesel,
4x2 or 4x4). Good performance, rare.
2. Chevrolet Bonanza: This truck is very modified,
with MWM 4.2 Turbo Diesel 150hp (from a GM Silverado D-20),
transfer case and front axle by Engesa (from a used light
truck - Brazilian army version), Grabber MT 33" and Warn XD9000i.
The Chevy Bonanza (stock) had a GM 250 engine (or
Perkins Diesel N/A engine), only 4x2, etc.
The "Black Monster", with 150hp, is very fast and powerful
but, there was a rock on the trail... see above.
