Engesa Engenheiros Espacializados SA is 4wd.sofcom.com --> based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and manufactures 4x4 and 6x6 military trucks, transmissions and other components.

1988 Engesa 4 FII four wheel drive (right), is a light, short wheel base (89"), soft-top vehicle for military use. Live axles and coil springs are used front and rear.

The Engesa EE25 is in use in South America, the Middle East 4wd.sofcom.com --> and Africa. The 6x6 version uses a Boomerang "walking beam" rear suspension. This has a single differential and articulated axle with walking beams at each end. The beams contain helical gears which drive the road wheels. (Other manufacturers, e.g. Scammell, have used similar designs to get good 6x6 articulation.)

The EE50 can carry 5000kg cross country and 10,000kg on roads:
