Troller is a off-road vehicle assembled in Forteleza, Ceara
Fortaleza is a nice city, lots of sun, beach, pretty women, dunes and buggies.
In 1995, some engineers wanted to replace the VW air-cooled engines.
After a study of the Jeep
Wrangler,
they started a new project, the Troller 4x4,
good performance, dunes specialist. Rallye dos Sertoes Champion and
debut in the
Dakar-Cairo 2000
(with Ford 4.0 V6 engine).
Price near US$18,000.
- Now, after 4 years, it is a state of art of the machine:
- Engine: VW 2.0 OHC gasoline 114CV at 5750rpm and 17,5mkgf;
- Body: Fiberglass with rubber supports, 4 seats, canvas, air conditioning;
- Chassis: Steel. Conventional;
- Axles: Dana (Brazil) 4,88:1; Suspension: Coil Springs;
- Power Steering; Disc/Drum brakes; Tyres: 255/75x15
- 5-speed (Clark) + low range (Borg-Warner) - (3,97/ 2,34/ 1,46/ 1,00/ 0,85 & 1,00/ 2,48);
- Wheelbase: 2420mm GVW: 1450kg
- Body: Fiberglass with rubber supports, 4 seats, canvas, air conditioning;
