Magic of Talma 1998

10th The Magic of Talma Off Road Trial opened the 1998 Finnish off road season. There were only 35 cars participating, because Magic of Talma -competition does not have the cup-value. Group I tracks were completely new and improved a great deal from last year. On group II tracks, there was only one difficult section, track four's cliff climbing, otherwise group II tracks were driveable and had not changed from last year. Group III's last section was a killer. Only Petri Mattson drove it through without any penalty points. Excellent driving from Petri and his black Tamagotchi. Watch out for Ville Viikari with his new Toyota LJ70, they will not be easy to beat this year. In group III Team Salonen did not get their new car "Moggster" ready. Petri Mattson will also interfere the battle between Jare Salonen and Seppo "Popo" Luukkanen when they try to win group III championship.
