Land Rover 110.
A number of Land Rover 110s were factory modified in Australia into this crew cab configuration for the 1988 Australian Bicentenary; they towed trailers carrying exhibition items. The trailers had "swan-neck" tow-bars which coupled to a fifth-wheel on the load-bed. Being produced prior to 1988, they are Land Rover 110's, the Defender name being introduced in 1990 - see http:// 4wd.sofcom.com/ LandRover/ milestones.html It is likely that similar bodywork modifications have been carried out privately from time to time as the layout has some advantages in keeping dirty load items out of the passenger compartment, although it does limit the maximum length of an object that can be carried. It is interesting to compare this 110 with the current D130 crew cab. This 1986 Land Rover 110 is owned by
Anthony Green.
