The big change is the adoption of independent front suspension - a common trend as SUVs soften up. This gives better ride on-road, but generally lesser four wheel drive ability than live axles. Anti lock brakes (ABS) and electronic brake distribution (EBD) are available. Side curtain airbags for front and rear passengers are an option and all five seating positions have lap-sash seat belts.
