Record Breaking October for Chrysler Jeep Capping off five consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains, Chrysler Jeep achieved its best October performance since 2001 according to official VFACTS figures. Sales of 522 units for the month represented a seven per cent sales gain over October 2004 taking year-to-date sales to 6,070, also up seven per cent on 2004. Jeep Cherokee sales of 166 units lead the charge, posting a 47 per cent improvement over last October. PT Cruiser sales growth of ten per cent year-to-date (874 units) continued to provide inspiration for the Chrysler brand. The future bodes bright for the American based company, with the long awaited Chrysler 300C arriving in showrooms this month. “The 300C marks an exciting time not only for the Chrysler brand but also the premium sports sedan segment, injecting some much needed passion,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep Australia. “The inquiry on this vehicle is at a level that we haven’t seen before and there is no question that its arrival will help further establish our sales growth,” said Jenkins. |
