Chrysler 300C arrives under $54,000
Chrysler has announced the price of this year’s most-eagerly awaited luxury sedan – the Chrysler 300C.
Prices will start from $53,990 for the 3.5-litre V6 and $59,990 for the 5.7-litre V8 HEMI 300C which features Chrysler’s fuel saving cylinder deactivation system (MDS). The 300C will be available in Chrysler Jeep showrooms around the country from November 1, 2005.
“The Chrysler 300C will bring some passion back to the luxury sedan segment, with a great looking, well-equipped, competitively-priced car,” said Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Jeep Australia.
“At these prices the 300C provides a genuine and compelling competitor not only to the Ford and Holden rivals, but a unique alternative to the European sedans.
"Customers are increasingly looking for a practical car with good fuel economy and interior space but do not want to compromise on looks or outright performance.
“Everyone agrees that the 300C is a stunning car. With contemporary styling, undeniable road presence and powerful performance, we can expect to attract customers that are looking to make a statement," said Jenkins.
Standard features on the Chrysler 300C include Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and an all-speed Traction Control System, 18-inch alloy wheels, xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, rear park assist system and leather seats. Front and rear side-curtain airbags also come as standard and the 300C has been awarded a 5-star rating for driver and front passenger protection in a frontal crash, the highest rating in the U.S. government’s safety crash test program conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
Since its release in the US, the 300C has captured the imagination of Americans winning many prestigious awards including the coveted Motor Trend Car of the Year. Now this stunning vehicle is set to make its mark on the Australian automotive landscape.
A right hand drive version of the 300C will go on show to the Australian public for the first time on the Chrysler stand at this year’s Australian International Motor Show, October 14-23 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Chrysler 300C is built in Graz, Austria and is covered by Chrysler’s three-year, 100,000 kilometre warranty. Chrysler Jeep dealers are currently taking orders for the vehicle. |
