Honda's Latest 4-Wheelers Packed with New Features
Honda’s 4-Wheelers are all designed to handle the harshest conditions this country can throw at them, and now four of the manufacturer’s latest release quad bikes, including both recreation/utility and sport models, are offering a host of refinements and upgrades that are guaranteed to make them even more attractive than before.
TRX680FA Rincon
The ground-breaking TRX680FA Rincon is the world's most comfortable full-size 4-Wheeler and is feature-laden with a fully automatic transmission, TraxLok selectable 2WD/4WD, a torque-sensing front differential and fully independent front and rear suspension, plus a number of new features for 2006 including:
- New larger 675cc engine for increased power.
- New 40mm fuel injection system for consistent performance at high altitude, improved cold weather starting, improved fuel consumption and increased power.
- New dual front disc brakes feature calipers with patented built-in scraper for improved braking performance in all conditions.
- New brake pads feature thick, long-wear material with improved mud durability, feel and control. Pads feature internal scraper that give audible warning when pad life is low.
- Washable air filter for easy maintenance and consistent performance.
- New low-fuel warning light.
- New 18-amp battery for increased performance.
- New rear shock valving for improved ride.
- New exhaust to maintain quiet performance.

TRX450ER Sportrax
With this high-performance sport model, Honda sets the class standard for superb handling, excellent power and durability.
Sand, bush or track, the TRX450ER dominates wherever it treads. Thanks to its incredibly potent package featuring a CRF450R derived engine and Pro-Link suspension, quite simply, there has never been a higher performing sport four-wheel motorcycle anywhere.
For 2006, the TRX450ER is an all-new machine from the ground up with more power, sharper handling and electric start. New features include:
- All-new engine is closely related to the CRF450R and CRF450X.
- Electric starter for easy starting in all conditions.
- Maximum engine rpm is 9850.
- New 40mm Keihin FCR-type carburetor for improved engine response.
- Forged slipper piston is lighter than a conventional design, revving quickly while maintaining excellent cylinder sealing and high-rpm power.
- Compression ratio increased from 10.5:1 to 12.0:1.
- New transmission ratios designed for racing applications and trail use.
- Longer swingarm and new linkage ratio for improved turning.
- New A-arms, knuckles and spindles for improved turning.
- Stronger hubs provide improved rigidity.
- 8mm lower riding position for lower center-of-gravity, improved handling and rider feel.
- Front suspension is lighter and features a new spring for improved bump absorption.
- Rear suspension is lighter for improved handling and travel has been increased from 9.0 inches to 9.3 inches.
- New airbox for improved airflow and increased power.
- Air filter is 1.4 times larger than previous unit for improved airflow and power.
- New exhaust system and free-flowing muffler increase performance while maintaining low noise levels.
- New cylinder head porting features improved flow for maximum performance.
- Lighter radiator features revised fin pitch for increased airflow.
- New headlight shape for race-derived look.

2006 TRX250EX Sportrax
Honda’s sporty, fun-to-ride TRX250EX just got even more sporty and fun, with new TRX450R race-inspired styling, new front and rear suspension and a revolutionary innovation called Honda SportClutch.
The TRX250EX delivers performance by the bucket load. Powered by a torquey Honda 229cc 4-stroke OHV engine, coupled with a 5-speed transmission (plus reverse), this bike offers both awesome performance and cutting edge good looks.
The longitudinally-mounted engine allows direct drive shaft alignment to the rear wheels for superbly efficient power transfer. And with Honda's unique buffer plate in the carby float chamber, you're guaranteed consistent fuel flow even in the roughest riding conditions.
New for 2006:
- New TRX450R-inspired bodywork.
- New hand-operated Honda SportClutch™. The new Honda SportClutch enables the rider to experience manual clutch actuation with the advantage of no stalling.

2006 TRX90E Sportrax
For the younger enthusiast, no one in the family can go past the TRX90E.
Featuring the same aggressive, off road performance and styling as the TRX450ER and real suspension powered by a torquey four-stroke powerplant with clutchless four-speed shifting, the TRX90E is the ideal introductory bike.
Honda's smallest TRX gets big-time changes for 2006, including an electric starter, TRX450R-inspired bodywork, new suspension settings and a host of other refinements.
