Volvo Truck Australia and NRMA Motoring & Services Partners in Road Safety
Volvo Truck Australia is showing its strong commitment to road safety through the sponsorship of a Volvo FH12 500 primemover to the NRMA Motoring & Services.
The Volvo FH12 500 will be used to transport the NRMA.’s Mobile Member Centre, a $ 1.7 million purpose-built information facility dedicated to safer roads. Through state-of-the-art LCD touch-screens, visitors will be able to compare results of crash tests of 4WD as well as small and medium family vehicles.
In the words of NRMA CEO Tony Stuart, this facility is bound to make a substantial contribution to safety on our roads:
“Bringing crash test footage to local communities will help educate people about the severe consequences of being involved in a crash and give motorists the opportunity to compare the safety performance of different cars”.

The Volvo FH12 500 includes a number of safety features including front under-run protection (FUPS), ABS brakes, tyre pressure monitoring, Electronic Stability Program, reduced internal and external noise levels and airbag suspension to enhance vehicle stability.
