Honda's All New Foreman Four Wheeler Range
In recognition of the need for land owners to have a reliable, easily maintained work horse at their disposal that will last the distance, Honda has further developed their world renowned TRX range. 2005 will see the release of new features on the TRX500FA, increased engine capacity of two other models - the TRX500FM and TRX500FE, and an all-new TRX500TM. For quite some time, Honda has opted not to utilise V-Belts in any transmission within their TRX line-up. The reason for this is simple ? customers are less than satisfied with the number of v-belt drive systems failing in the field due to moisture, heat, hard acceleration and/or dust. Honda's manual gearbox and hydrostatic transmissions are designed to excel under these conditions. The upshot is that Honda's all important work range of Foreman 4-wheeled motorcycles is bigger and better than ever for 2005. TRX500FA "Hydrostatic" The TRX500FA with the revolutionary Hondamatic transmission is the king of the 4-wheelers. Honda's largest work machine features a continuously variable automatic transmission that provides quiet, maintenance-free operation in a compact, rugged design. Its hydro-mechanical design, eliminates belts altogether. It's also fully sealed and maintenance free. Unlike other autos whose belts can get dirty, wear out and fail, the Hondamatic guarantees years and years of reliable service. A long-time favourite among off-road pleasure riders, workers and commercial operators, the latest TRX500FA now comes equipped with TraxLok 2WD or 4WD drive selection ease, responsive front disc brakes, attractive new SUV styling and much more. The Honda "Hydrostatic" has received multiple awards since is introduction four years ago. In its first year out, it won the ANFD / Kondinin Group "Award of Excellence", and in doing so became the first ATV product to receive such an accolade within the Australian agricultural industry. Since then, the 500FA has achieved additional multiple awards including three "ATV of the Year" awards; an "Innovation Award", an "Award of Excellence", as well as the Silver Award from the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE). This last award from the RASE is in recognition of "innovative equipment that doesn't just look as though it will do a good job, but has proven itself in the field," an important distinction as far as Honda is concerned. No other 4-wheeler has ever achieved this many accolades in its first year of manufacture. The 2005 model continues to build upon this excellence. TRX500FM and TRX500FE Boasting an all-new engine and next-generation chassis, the new TRX500FM and TRX500FE offer Honda's advanced switch-operated 2WD/4WD system, TraxLok plus a choice between manual shifting or Honda's Electric Shift Program(ESP) versions, for a wide range of riding convenience and enjoyment. Its SUV styling features flowing fenders with integrated headlights and taillights for a rugged, adventurous look, whilst the new dual front disc brake callipers feature a patented built-in scraper system to remove mud and snow from inside the front wheel to help prevent build-up of debris. An all new longitudinally mounted, air-cooled 475cm3 four-stroke OHV engine offers improved drivetrain operating efficiency. The patented oil cooling system is also new and features dual oil coolers for greater cooling capacity. Designed to be ridden in all conditions, the snorkel-type air intake system is specially designed for water crossings. Additional features include a super-heavy-duty automatic clutch to ensure excellent driveability and towing capacity. The rugged frame and suspension provide exceptional ground clearance. Large loads are no problem as the front and rear steel tube cargo racks can carry payloads of up to 30kg and 60kg respectively. The bike also includes a heavy-duty trailer hitch with towing capacity of 385kg. With a large, lightweight 15.5-litre capacity plastic fuel tank, this machine is built for long days of strong, reliable riding ease and convenience. TRX500TM The all-new TRX500TM, big brother to the largest selling 4-wheeler in the country ? Honda's TRX350 - delivers big-bore power in a two-wheel-drive package that's loaded with rugged and convenient Honda features. For those who prefer a manual transmission, the TRX500TM offers five speeds plus reverse, in addition to all of the superior design and styling features of the Foreman series. This is the biggest bore 2WD on the market today and its high-economy, low-emission four-stroke engine produces strong, reliable power while meeting all local off-road emissions standards. RRP's including GST are TRX500FA - $13,490; TRX500FE - $11,990; TRX500FM - $11,790; TRX500TM - $10,790. All of the latest Honda 4-wheelers will be available from Dealers in February 2005. |
