I have a 97 Landcruiser Colorado automatic
have a problem with the gearbox , when you get up to 110km per hour initially it is fine but after a time it seems to drop down a gear and move from 2200 rpm to 3100 rpm. I have spoken to gearbox specialists who are telling me that they would need to "take a look at it " and strip it back , and ultimately getting a rebuild done either way. Has anyone any ideas on this , someone has suggested it could possibly be the overdrive switch , which doen't kick in at all when the button is pressed , many thanks , I'm a novice unfortuantely !!
