I WOULD LIKE TO ADD DOOR TO MY 1999 FORD F150. I'M SOON TO HAVE ANOTHER CHILD AND DON'T WANT TO PART WITH MY TRUCK. I WOULD LIKE TO ADD 2 MAYBE 4 DOORS TO MY EXISITING 2. I'M A WELDER AS WELL, BUT WANTED TO GET A GOOD LEAD ON SOMEONE WHO PERHAPS HAS DONE THIS OR KNOWS FOLKS WHO CAN. I'M WILLING TO TAKE MY TRUCK SOMEWHERE AS WELL.
MY INTERESTS ARE FRAME EXTENSION, WHAT DO I NEED TO BE AWARE OF WHEN CUTTING THE FRAME, EXTENDING BRAKE & GAS LINES AS WELL AS DRIVE LINES...THE DO's AND DON'T's. SHOULD I SALVAGE THE DOORS FROM A WRECKED TRUCK OR BUY THEM DOORS AND SKINS AND FRAMES FROM FORD? IS A PROJECT LIKE THIS CRAZY TO EVEN THINK ABOUT.I ASSUME A BODY SHOP CAN HELP SMOOTH OUT THE REST OF THE WORK ONCE THE METAL AND DOORS ARE WELDED IN?...I JUST DON'T WANT TO PART WITH MY TRUCK AS IT'S IN GREAT SHAPE AND PAID FOR....THANKS FOR YOUR THOUGHTS....corykirk@sbcglobal.net

wow... i like your style... your gonna have to box your frame and make extra crossmembers, lenghthing all the lines, which you probably already figured out, and look for the back doors to a dual cab ford... finda junk 98 to i think 03 and chop off the back of the cab... also when you finish it will handle differently, your turning radius will increase almost 5-15 ft depending on how long you strech it. its also a good idea to put an ad-a-leaf since it will be almost 750 lbs or more in weight. its a lot of work... a whoooooole lot of work... hope you have a spare truck to get around in for a while... look for limo companies in your area... they might be able to point you in the right direction as to a company that will do it...
