Volvo V70 XC, 1998, 1999

Volvo's answer to Subaru's Forester and other car-based vehicles with some sort of drive to all wheels, the Volvo V70 XC, or cross-country, is derived from the V70 AWD station wagon with extra traction devices:
Volvo V70 XC 1998 an automatic differential lock on the rear axle and TRACS electronic traction control on the front axle. Yes, the wheels are 16" ones but the super low-profile tyres (55%) give an overall diameter of 25" so this is not an offroader.

The V70 XC was at the 1998 Melbourne motor show.
