Rover 75
2001 June: The Rover 75 (with side head airbags) did well in recent European `NCAP' crash tests - third in the frontal crash test, equal first in the side impact test, and fourth overall behind Renault Laguna, Saab 9-5, and Mercedes C-class.
2001:
The Rover 75 back for another
launch at the
Melbourne Motor Show,
this time not under BMW ownership.
The Rover 75 sedan prices are 51,950 for the manual,
53,950 the auto, and 60,500 the Connoiseur model
( 3/2001).
The 75 station wagon looks rather better about the rear than the sedan.
The wagon is due in Australia about mid 2001. 2000 March: BMW cancelled the au release of the 75 in the wake of its decision to sell Rover.
2000: Rover 75, the Connoiseur is the up-market version with leather trim interior. Interior room is good, both front and rear, although US readers must remember that this is a European car i.e. medium sized by US standards. Power comes from a 2.5 litre V6.
