Amphibious Jeep “Half-Safe” Co-Adventurer connects with

Carlin and I attching the propellor to the jeep drive-shaft prior to our crossing of the ocean strait between Honshu Island and Hokkaido, the northernmost  of Japan’s four major islands. The jeep leaked during the crossing so I spent several hours pumping the water out to keep us afloat. As we approached Hokkaido Carlin ran the jeep into submerge rocks.
