Jeeps by Victoria.
#R034 Jeep GPA Amphibian, British Army 1944, scale 1/43.
This is a finely detailed model down to the
five (!) levers on the tranmission tunnel -
gearbox, transfer-case, propeller, winch and ... what, pump perhaps?
There is a detailed dash-board of instruments (by transfers),
and throttle, clutch and brake pedals on the floor.
On deck, we have the folding break-water
(adding to the GPA's very marginal sea-worthiness),
capstan winch, exhaust system, folding windscreen,
spare tyre, jerry can, and lights.
Underneath are the give-away propeller and rudder for the Seep's watery role.
On the port flank is a paddle
(were these ever used in anger?)
and on the starboard flank is what may be an emergency rudder?
On the bows is painted L6166510.
It's gorgeous.
This scale model is not a toy.
There are too many small, delicate parts to survive
in a child's hands for long.

The most famous and remarkable (real) Jeep GPA must surely be
Half-Safe.
