Toyota MegaCruiser.
Toyota MegaCruiser is Toyota's answer to the Hummer - there have even been some legal skirmishes as to whether it infringes Hummer's 4WD design.
The Toyota Megacruiser is certainly MEGA -
long, wide and with tremendous ground clearance.
To recover some mobility, both the front and rear wheels
steer - in opposite directions.
Don't expect Toyota to put the MegaCruiser on sale
to the general public in the near future
(although apparently it is to go on sale in the US in mid '97).
This one is in Australia for evaluation
by mining companies, the military and the like.
It was snapped at the
National 4x4 Show
in Melbourne.
It also put in an appearance at the
1997 Melbourne Motor Show
