2001 July:
The four millionth Toyota Celica
has been sold after 30 years of the model;
the current Celica is the 7th of the line.
There are two levels of trim etc.: SX and ZR.
Standard features include
dual airbags and force limiting front seat-belt pretensioners,
CD player, cruise control and remote central locking.
The `ZR' also gets side airbags, and ABS brakes.

1998:
While the basic Toyota Celica was
an ordinary front-wheel drive car with sporting aspirations,
a very hot four-wheel drive
World Rally Car (WRC) was loosely based on it
in the hope that the gloss would rub off on the road car.
Various four wheel drive road cars were
also built and are just a little bit closer to the WRC car.
