2001 June: Toyota Camrys
from Altona Melbourne ready for export to Saudi Arabia.
Toyota (.au) reports that it has exported 100,000 Camrys to Saudi Arabia
in the last six years, 30,500 of them in 2000.
Left-hand drive Camry's are shipped to seven countries in the region -
Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain and
Yemen.
2000 October:
Toyota Camry Azura (front) and

Camry's suspension is said to have been revised and
15" wheels are standard, with 16" wheels fitted
to the Azura and Touring Series.
The base Camry four cylinder CSi is priced from $27,800,
the V6 CSi from $27,800, up through a total of
12 sedan and 10 wagon variants to
the Azura from $43,070 ($au).
Toyota's body kit -

for the Camry sedan.
2000 July:
A Toyota Camry taxi in the middle east,
one of 100,000 Camrys that have been exported to that region since 1996.
Apparently "Toyota Australia's exports currently
account for 45% of its local vehicle production."
Toyota exports to the M.E. have been running at 3,000/month so far in 2000.
The Altona factory exports vehicles to 26 countries.
