Tata
I have been driving the Tata Safari (right) for a year now and I
feel it is a decent effort from a company that has developed this
vehicle from the ground up without borrowed technology
(Ssangyon ~ Mercedes Benz, Hyundai Santa Fe ~ Mitsubishi).
This car comes with a standard shift on
the fly 4WD/ split aircon'/, and the list goes on.
It is a decent product from an industry
which was highly regulated and monopolistic until recently.
The car is already being sold in Italy,
Portugal and Spain. It is soon to be launched in the UK.
