Suzuki make SWB and LWB versions of the Vitara. Long known as builders of small cars and 4WDs, the LWB Vitara has 5 seats and a 2L V6 option. Suddenly it is not so small any more.

The main competition is Toyota's RAV4. Suzuki's ad's have been having a good dig at the RAV4, pointing to that 4x4's lack of a chassis and a proper hi/lo-ratio transfer-case, and painting it as a sheep in wolf's clothing.

In the USA the Vitara is sold as the Tracker, pre-1998 the Geo-Tracker and in 1998 and later as the Chevrolet Tracker.
