Lake Tamarak:
Miklos Kovacs'
1993 Toyota Landcruiser
FZJ80,
with TJM bumper bars, safari snorkel, and roof rack.
In summer ('01) MK will be spending a week surveying the area of Trinity Alps
and Shasta for all the hard to find trails;
there are more lakes and caves out there.
The trail begins at Castle Crags National park;
some maps show the lake, some do not.
The lake has a trail description in the Pacific Crest Trail book and
in the California book.
(Castle Crags Park is [41.10N, 122.20W]
at the northern end of the Sacramento valley,
about 250km north of Sacramento,
80km south of the Oregon border.)
