Ngarkat
The Ngarkat Conservation Park is ~ 20km north of
Keith (on the Dukes Highway) in South Australia.
Keith is 240km east of Adelaide.
The Park
extends to the Victorian border and joins
the Big Desert Wilderness Park in that state.
Most of the park is covered in Mallee vegetation.
The Border Track runs north - south and
passes through areas of dunes
and clay - which can be difficult in wet weather.
The South Australian Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs
assists Government Departments in educating drivers
and in reducing and repairing wear to the tracks in the park.
