Nissan

1998 Nissan Patrol GU replaces the ten year old Nissan Patrol GQ.

A GQ Patrol shows its axle articulation (right). In the "old days", the Patrol was the cheapest and crudest of the heavy-weight four wheel drives (Land-Rover, Toyota and Nissan) but they followed L-R to the use of coil springs on their station wagon well before Toyota did. The standard coils soon sag and cannot carry much weight but a GQ Patrol with after-market coil springs can be quite agile.
