Nissan's Trailrunner
sports 4WD is a concept car first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show
and down under for the Sydney Motor Show.
Show cars like this exist to test the water
and if they do go into production it is usually
in milder forms. The Trailrunner has a number of high tech' features: |

Nissan's two litre SR20VE engine developed from the SSS Pulsar's SR20,
ATTESA torque-split 4x4 system
(as in the Bathurst --> Skyline GT-R coupes
and the USA-market Infiniti 4WD),
CVT-M6 continuously variable transmission,
Birdview computer-map navigation system,
and Xenon gas headlights.
The engine has a variable valve lift and timing system (VVL).
The CVT gearbox can also be used in a manual, 6-step, mode. |
