Nissan Trailrunner 4WD

From the mail: Nissan's Trailrunner sports 4WD is a concept car first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show and down under for the Sydney Motor Show. Show cars like this exist to test the water and if they do go into production it is usually in milder forms.

The Trailrunner has a number of high tech' features:

Came down under for the Sydney Motor Show
together with the R390 LeMans car
Nissan's two litre SR20VE engine developed from the SSS Pulsar's SR20, ATTESA torque-split 4x4 system (as in the Bathurst --> Skyline GT-R coupes and the USA-market Infiniti 4WD), CVT-M6 continuously variable transmission, Birdview computer-map navigation system, and Xenon gas headlights. The engine has a variable valve lift and timing system (VVL). The CVT gearbox can also be used in a manual, 6-step, mode.

Tyres are 205/55 R18 with a sliding compartment at the rear, yet another solution of the perennial problem of what to do with the spare.
