4WD and Recreation Spectacular, Canberra 1998

7 - 8 February 1998

For two full days, the Combined Four Wheel Drive Clubs of the ACT will run the Four Wheel Drive Recreation Spectacular at the Queanbeyan Showground. This show will promote our clubs in the pursuit of 4WD outdoor adventure. Our last show attracted over 8,000 visitors from in and around the ACT. At next year's event we estimate to attract between 15-20,000 visitors from as far afield as Sydney and Newcastle to the north and from Albury/Wodonga in the South, from the far south coast and all our surrounding area.

• All latest models of 4WD vehicles on display - Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi and all the other brands!
• An improved 4WD test track to experience the fun of the real thing
• Expanded 4WD seminars - product, special interest and educational
• Camper-trailers, camping equipment and out door leisure displays
• Over eighty 4WD vehicle and accessory exhibitors - local and national

Fundamentally, it will help educate people with an understanding of the four wheel drive code of ethics and the value of belonging to a 4WD club. Our event schedule will provide many static and action displays of four wheel drive activities and trials to allow both the enthusiast and prospective 4WD enthusiasts an exciting opportunity to experience the fun and adventure of four wheel driving, whilst also learning the necessity for sensible training, and respect for the trails and environment.

This show is unique in our region and this Four Wheel Drive Promotion is definitively for 4WD enthusiasts. With one in six cars sold in Australia a four-wheel drive vehicle, the potential interest in this event is enormous, particularly with the exhibitor support of the event.
