And the winners of the Tyrepower / Kumho 4X4 Challenge of 1997 are ...
Toyota FJ55 frpm 4WD challenge ... the kids aided by the competitors, helpers and organisers through the Variety Club of Victoria. The event raised over $60,000 for this worthwhile charity.

The 4X4 Challenge competitors had a bit of fun too. Right is the 1974 Toyota Landcruiser FJ55 that Donnellans the Tyreman (Box Hill) entered. In case you are wondering, that's a lump of Red-Gum as a front bumper.

The Variety Club is the world's greatest childrens charity with branches in all states. It donates medical equipment, life saving drugs, treatment, coaches, computers, hospital wards, wheel-chairs, toys, etc. to special development schools, life education centres and hospitals.
