1995 Four Wheel Drive Field Day (Annual).
The annual Four Wheel Drive Field Day was held at Wandin Park
on Sunday 19th November 1995.
It is one of the biggest four wheel drive events in Victoria,
if not Australia.
Four thousand six hundred adults and a large number of children attended.
One hundred exhibitors and twenty eight four wheel drive clubs
showed their wares.
The Army and the Country Fire Authority (CFA) brought vehicles and put
on demonstrations.
The main areas of the show are devoted to
4WD clubs and organizations, commercial exhibitors,
4WD demonstrations of various kinds, and the test track.
This year the Mountain Cattlemen (the Horse-persons from Snowy River)
were also present and holding horse races.
Volunteers took members of the public for drives around the test track which
also offered opportunities for demonstrations of vehicle recovery.
The Four Wheel Drive Field Day is organized by the
Land-Rover Owners Club of Victoria.
