Vickers manufacture fighting vehicles, primarily for the British Army.
Vickers also owned Bentley (Rolls Royce Cars) until 1998 when they sold the latter to Volkswagen. Curiously, the separate company Rolls Royce (aero engines) held the rights to the Rolls Royce name, the RR logo, and the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine that adorns the bonnets of the cars - and BMW bought the rights to use them on cars from the year 2003 on.
