2001 June 17: The MGs retired from the Le Mans race with mechanical problems.
May 2001 right: One of two MG Lola EX257's entered in the 2001 Le Mans 24-hour race. The cars are powered by 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo-charged engines and compete in the LMP675 class (weight >675kg). Mark Blundell, Julian Bailey, Anthony Reid, Warren Hughes, Kevin McGarrity and Jonny Kane are to drive the cars.
