Minerva Land-Rovers
Minerva
was only used by the Belgium army. Some cars where sold to the
civilian market. Because the Belgium army did not conservate their vehicles
very well its difficult to find a good Minerva.
The one I own was an
ambulance. I have rebuild it to a Minerva which was in use with the
Belgium military police (dark-blue); the car is not finshed yet. The
pictures are a Minerva ambulance, a Minerva with hard-top constructed by its
owner (civilian) and a view on the engine of my car.
As you know the biggest difference is the bodywork. It's all steel. As you
see at the photo's the front wings have another shape. The car does not have
a tail-gate and the spare-tire is mounted at the right rear side. There's
also a jerry can holder mounted on the left rear side.
There are more differences like the tail-lights,
exhaust-pipe, grille, pigtail towing eye,
side lights, head lights and brake lights. The interior however
is almost the same. There is a difference of seats because the middle seat is
replaced by a toolbox and the dashboard does not have two conectors as
power-outlet but one. -
