This Land Rover Defender D90 was fitted out with an amphibious vehicle kit for promotional purposes by Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations (SVO).
The general arrangements of the float supports (currently loaded in the rear) follow those on the army airportable amphibious prototype
The Defender however has a much more seaworthy propeller drive from the transfer case power take-off (PTO), although the propeller and the rudder would be in some danger of damage if entering the water down a steep slope in the forward direction.
