LandRover 129
Land Rover experimented with larger
versions of Land Rovers, building various
prototypes that never went into production.
This particular one has a 129" wheelbase,
9.00x16 tyres,
and 2.5L 4-cylinder turbo-charged diesel
(now the latter was a sign of things to come).
It was on show at
Billing98
This 129" one has a number of differences from above,
such as in the rear bodywork (?shades of HCPU?)
and in the bonnet.
(There is a
Carmichael
fire engine in the background.)
