2001 September: The Kia Carnival 2 was shown in Frankfurt; it will go on sale in Australia in 2002 [-Kia].

2000 October: The new Kia Carnival Classic is a special edition of Kia's people mover with "leather interior, electrically adjustable driver's seat, alloy wheels, twin airbags, remote central locking and two tone paint work". Price start at 35,500 ().

Left: The leather interior of the special edition. The base Carnical starts at 31,990 for the manual, and 34,490 for the automatic gearbox. The Classic costs 35,500 for the manual, 38,000 for the automatic.
