Jeep Truck (1946...).
1948
Jeep Truck Pickup -
found it in Arkansas and am restoring it in Bethany, Oklahoma. It has a 1966
289 Ford Mustang engine and a radio. Lots of wrenching and fun.

Coming
to you from Grayslake, Illinois, USA. Halfway between Chicago,
Illinois, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We're about 12 miles inland from
Lake Michigan shore....
The photo of the rough Jeep with the flat bed and the cream paint giving
way to primer, is a JEEP TRUCK Circa 1946 thru 1949 with the model's
original grille design.
In 1950 the grille was redone to be pointier.
The center was farther away from the windshield.
Quoting from a
book
available in the US:
Peter C Sessler.
Illustrated Jeep Buyer's Guide.
The World's Workhorse: Military to Civilian.
Motorbooks International.
Wheelbase 118 inches
two or four wheel drive
originally with the go devil four cylinder L-head,
changed to the Hurricane four cylinder F-head in 1950.
The Super Hurricane Six became available in 1954.
It was available as pickup, flat bed, or station wagon.
My neighbor had a later one in green
with plow and wrecker rig for his gas station service business.
He plowed our driveway with it in the winter.
