Hyundai Trajet

2000 July: The Hyundai Trajet 7-seater (2-2-3) people mover is released.

Loa: 4.7m, turning radius: 5.65m, engine: 2.7L V6 dohc, 132 and 270, gearbox: 4-speed automatic, rr prices: GL 34,990, GLS 38,990 ( 7/2000).

The (base) GL has air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, central locking, driver airbag, and front seat belt pretensioners. ABS brakes and front passenger airbag are optional at +1800.

The GLS justifies its higher price with cruise control, CD player, alloy wheels, remote locking, dual airbags, ABS brakes, roof rails and improved seats.

Fuel consumption figures of 8L/100km (highway) to 12L/100km (city) are claimed.

Rivals: Kia Carnival and Toyota Spacia.
