2001 April: Honda Motor Co. unveiled the prototype of the new Integra Type R. It is the Honda brand relative of the Acura RS-X show at the Detroit Motor Show in January.
The `iS' model gets a 117 motor, the `R' model gets a 162 motor and 6-speed manual gearbox.
The new Integra goes on sale in Japan in July 2001, and in Australia in late 2001.
