2000 December: Freightliner Trucks Australia can now offer 140 tonne on-highway road-train capacity in its Century and Argosy prime-movers. This compares with a standard GCM of 90 tons.
The new models offer Caterpillar C15 & C16, Cummins Signature and, in the Argosy, Detroit 14L Series 60/1850 engines. There is a choice of Eaton RTLO 20918 or RTLO 22918 gearboxes.
A 140 ton off-highway model is under development.
