Ford Territory.
 2004 June:
The Territory is scheduled to come in two flavours - AWD and RWD.
The rear-wheel drive version is nice for owners who want the higher ride height and interior flexibility that comes with Territory, but don't need – or wish to pay extra for – an AWD system.
The AWD version is designed to meet the needs of the rest of us who enjoy travelling a little off the beaten track.
The entry level Territory TX comes with the Barra 182 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine, sequential sports shift transmission, advanced driving dynamics and some other nice features such as electronically adjustable pedals.
Supposedly, those interested in the Territory TX will get the vehicle dynamics of a sedan, the versatility of a traditional SUV and the interior flexibility of a people mover.
Also scheduled for release is the posh Territory Ghia, which adds leather seat trim, Reverse Sensor System, alloy rims, front fog lamps and body coloured bumpers, cladding, rockers, liftgate moulding and mirrors etc etc and etc.
