2000: LHD Ford Excursion at the National 4x4
Show,
Melbourne.
Veritable land ships, such as the big Ford,
have sold in small numbers in Australia as special low-volume imports
with local RHD conversions.
1999: Ford launched the huge Excursion 4x4, available with a 6.8 litre V10 engine, to out-monster the GM Suburban and Dodge Ram. Fuel consumption is approximately 11mpg (28L/100km)!
