2000 May: The new addition to the Ford Courier
range
is the four wheel drive, turbo-diesel, crew cab XLT.
The XLT Courier has "a driver airbag and power door locks, windows
and mirrors".
The free wheel hubs are now engaged by a switch on the dash board.
The rear axle has a limited slip differential.
The vehicle rides on 235/15 alloy wheels;
other distnguishing features are XLT decals,
a rear step bumper, chrome grille and body coloured bumper.
Inside, the steering column is adjustable and there
are headrests on the rear seats.
The engine is a 2.4 litre turbo-charged
and intercooled diesel (86 at 3500, 280).
The recommended retail price for the
XLT Courier 4WD is 39,750 ( 5/2000).
