- Ari Myllylä - 7/12/1998
The location in
Ravijoki
has already proven to be perfect. The local
municipality, and local sport associations are all enthusiastically with us
in organizing the event.
The situation with sponsors looks good.
The technical regulations and general instructions as well as translations
are well under way. We think we can start disseminating them in December.
General instructions meaning accomodation, driving instructions, advice how
to get discount on the ferry to Finland, where to get food and so on. E.g.
closest accomodation facility is 0,7 km from the tracks. All the material
for the Eurotrial will be published in Finnish, Swedish, English, German,
French and Russian.
The areas for tracks and pits have been reserved. We have been granted
permissions by the municipality council for environmental issues. The
tracks will be made so that each class drives their own sections, yet they
will be close to each other. The size of the area for tracks is 2.5
hectares. The area for pits is round 1 hectare, in close vicinity to the
tracks. There will be two loud speaker networks and two announcers in
the area. There will be several food and drink kiosks, 20 portable toilets
and so on.
The tracks will be as European style as possible, but each class will have
also typical Finnish sections.
