First of all, please accept our sincere apologies for the misunderstandings with Silja Line and Viking Line ferry companies in connection with the Official Information Package Ferry Connections From Sweden To Finland. Since the EuroTrial 1999 will be held on a hectic summer holiday season, we did not have enough negotiating power to get discounts for the participants of the EuroTrial. We are truly sorry. However, in addition to the Silja Line and Viking Line there is yet another ferry connection to Finland. Please find the contact information of SeaWind Line Oy Ab as follows:

There has been a lot of fuss whether the EuroTrial 1999 will be covered by EuroSport Channel. We are happy to confirm that EuroTrial will be covered by the production company running Off Road Magazine -program into the EuroSport channel. Please remember that no videoshooting of EuroTrial 1999 for commercial purporses or for public audiences is allowed without a written permission. In case you wish to have a permit, please contact the EuroTrial Office.
The Inside Car –cameras will be mounted by removable sticker, so there is no need to make extra stands, despite some earlier warnings.
Additional information about the rules and regulations
Tracks
We have started to build up the EuroTrial 1999 tracks to the forest of Harju and some trees have been cut down. During the qualifying sessions and finals the tracks will be driven in random order. The tracks will be made wide and short and they will give the competitor opportunity to choose the route individually. There will be no "vehicle killer" sections. We try to eliminate the effect of the different tyre sizes in the modified and prototype classes. The tracks of EuroTrial 1999 demand more from the driver than the vehicle; just steady, careful driving, seamless cooperation with co-driver and full knowledge of the limits of your own vehicle.
Timetable
The competition starts at 11.00 am on Friday (30th July), Saturday (31st July) and Sunday (1st August). The vehicle scrutineering will be conducted on Thursday (29th July), Friday (30th July) and Saturday (31st July) mornings, before 11.00 am.
Accommodation
We have improved the accessibility to Harjun Hovi accommodation phone service. Your calls will be answered from 8.00 am to 4 pm during weekdays (local time).
