Replying to a reader who requested opinions about off road trailers:
My Husband and I looked around at trailers for nearly 18 months before deciding on one. We eventually chose a Bushmate trailer because of the size and ease of putting it up. It also has a hinged bed base which allows you to access the inside of the trailer without unfolding the tent section. After deciding on th Bushmate tent top we decided to get our trailer custom made locally as this was a lot cheaper and we could just buy the top in kit form, from Bushmate. As far as I know some other manufacturers will also just sell you the top in kit form so if you are not happy with the whole unit or the price you can customise the trailer and the top to suit your individual needs. We also decided to make our own kitchen as we could not find one at a reasonable price that suited us or that the manufacturer would supply to us on its own. We now have an offroad trailer that is exactly what we wanted and that will practically go anywhere (within reason). It also has the same 16" split rims as our landcruiser and a spare of its own.

I would suggest that you don't choose from only two trailers as there are so many different ones to choose from and they all have their good and bad points. The best place to look at alot of the is a caravan and camping show.
