Carawagon camper conversions were carried out by R.J.Searle Ltd of Sunbury on Thames, England. They were a competitor to Dormobile and like them are no longer operating.
Where Dormobile used a tilting roof and fabric "bellows" the Carawagon roof was comprised of rigid materials. When folded it stands 3" or 4" proud of the vehicle's normal roof-line.

Most Carawagon 4WD conversions were performed on the LWB
series Land-Rover's
but this one was built on a 1972
Range Rover.
The rear seats have been replaced with side-facing seats.
These do make a bed, but it is not one for tall people;
there was a lot more room in a
109"
Land Rover conversion.
