Chrysler Prowler
2000 July:
"While Plymouth will be discontinued after 2001,
Prowler will continue to be offered [branded as Chrysler] as one
of the most outrageously-styled roadsters on the road today"
[-DC].
Daimler Chrysler reports that 5000+ prowlers had been sold
in North America to May 2000.
The first concept car appeared in 1993;
production began in Detroit in July 1997.
1999:
The Chrysler Prowler
is an attempt to put a hot-rod
into mass production.
