2000 December: Just in time for a Christmas stocking, Transport Media Services (02) 4365 4157 have released Great Australian Roadtrains. It covers the road trains that operate in the north of Australia, from WA through to Queensland, pulled by Kenworth, Mack, Freightliner, Western Star and Volvo prime-movers.
The biggest rig featured is a 1000hp roadtrain with a payload of 270 tonnes working out of The Granites in the Tanami Desert. This uses a 600hp Kenworth, assisted by a Cummins 400hp on the third of its six trailers.
Great Australian Roadtrain can be bought at your local newsagent for just $7.70.
