Nissan Pathfinder SL 4×4

The Nissan Pathfinder is a new type of sports utility vehicle. Gone are the days when the bodies of these vehicles were as rugged as trucks. The crude image has been shelved aside by sports utility vehicles, with most of the modern options having lighter architectures and more appealing interiors.

The Nissan Pathfinder is simply the latest in a long line of SUVs that has gone with the passenger car platform instead of a full frame. This crossover vehicle has an outstanding balance between providing the spaciousness and safety of a SUV, while having the luxury of a car. The styling is sleek, the interior is extremely modern, and the fuel economy is very impressive.

Interior:

The Pathfinder is not one of those cars that looks good without having an end product. The dashboard is easy to use, without any unnecessary frills or designs. The air vents are accessible to both driver and passenger side seats, making it great for air ventilation.

The door sides and edges are extremely soft, with one user describing them as “gooey soft” like fresh cinnamon buns. You can rest your arms in peace when inside the Nissan Pathfinder.

The seats throughout the vehicle are very comfortable, with the front seats having ample leg space for excessively tall individuals. The second row is just as comfortable to sit on, with the seat backs reclining as far as lying position, if desired. The third and fourth rows are slightly tighter, but that is to be expected in a high capacity SUV.

Car Specifications:

The Nissan Pathfinder is not just your average SUV as it sports a 3.5 liter V6 engine. There is a total of 260 horsepower getting behind this car, with 240 lb-ft of torque. What this means is that the car is not only very smooth to drive with at low speeds, but it also has the capability to be ramped up when necessary.

This four-cylinder engine is far superior to some of the other larger Nissan vehicles, providing a tremendous power base for the car to run on. The transmission is outstanding, with none of the slipping sensations that normally accompany CTVs.

The Nissan Pathfinder SL 4×4 comes with a special all wheel drive option, which allows you to switch from all-wheel-drive to four-wheel when necessary. The all-wheel-drive is great if you end up off-roading or need a bit of extra grip during snowy or rainy situations. However, the four wheel drive is the mode in which most of the driving will take place.

If you wish to spruce up the Pathfinder a little more, especially for off-roading situations, you may want to invest in accessories for 4×4 cars. These 4×4 accessories will protect your vehicle from rugged terrain, while ensuring it can still fully operate in regular road conditions.

The towing capability of the 2013 Nissan Pathfinder SL 4×4 is greater than the average vehicle of the same class, and that is something that Nissan loves to advertise. This option gives you the ability to drag more than 5,0000 pounds without the necessity of a trailer-tow set up.

The fuel economy is fantastic on the Nissan Pathfinder SL 4×4, with the 2013 model getting up to 20 miles per gallon in the city environment. The highway MPG is at around 26, which is a 30% efficiency improvement on the last version of this SUV.

The reason for this fuel economy efficiency is because Nissan switched from the regular body-on-frame structure to a car-based architectural set up.
