Our 4WD Adventure Weekend previously known as the 4WD Field Days has been changed for this year. This new name, we hope more accurately reflects what happens on this weekend. We don't sell plough and tractors! The new date is the weekend of 24/25 March 2001. This is to spread out from the Wandin 4WD show (18/2/2001) and the 4x4 swap meet and also the Super Southern Swap Meet held at Ballarat.
We have consolidated our site into one area this year to make it more interesting for traders and public alike. Our training track is undergoing major improvements this year with dozer work, clearing and tree planting as well as track extensions.
As well as the old favorites of the training track, bush tours and recovery demonstrations, the bush cooking will be better than ever. We hope to have entertainment through out the day and on Saturday night, and lots more traders. We look forward to welcoming a major national hire company as sponsor of the event this year.
The training track includes the steep hill climb and descent, river crossing, mud run, simulated log bridge, side slope and the suspension tester. New for this year are the wheel ruts, rocky road, the log jam and the flip flop.
Trader displays include new and used 4WD vehicles, 4WD accessories, camping equipment, hf radio communications, and 4WD clubs information. Camping is also available on-site for those who wish to stay overnight.
